Most likely to get canceled

melroseplace

Melrose Place

Melrose Place: For no other reason than I don’t know why they brought it back and everyone seems to be getting fired. – Liz Cooper

Miami Trauma: Because the cast is marginal and every other new medical show in the last year has already been canceled. – Cameron Cubbison

Human Target: The plot doesn’t seem interesting enough and the main character doesn’t seem to have enough chemistry to keep the show going. – Nicole Cukingnan

FlashForwardTrisha Huntsman

FlashForward: Viewers weren’t able to get into it at the beginning and with a plot so intricate, it’ll be hard to bring people back in. - Stephanie Jaar

Hank: Wait, there’s a show called Hank still on TV? Enough said. – Inisia Lewis

Accidentally on Purpose: This show just seems to fly too under the radar. – Keshaunta Moton

The Jay Leno Show: Sacrificing 5 hours of primetime for the sake of retaining their king of late night was one of the dumbest things NBC has ever done — including airing 3 nights of Deal or No Deal a week and that, my friends, is saying something. Jay’s doing the best he can to smile and wave, but he’s hurt the network, hurt Conan’s Tonight Show exposure, and been a general waste of time. Jeff Zucker et al. need to fess up, cut their losses, and show Jay the door. – Paul Secrest

Ugly Betty: ABC is moving the show from Friday nights to Wednesdays to try to save it but I am not sure the plan will work. – Allison Toner

Most likely to get canceled undeservedly

I don’t know who else out there watches Castle, but start watching it more because it is hilarious and I love it. – Liz Cooper

Damages: The writing is brilliantly dense and complex and the acting high-caliber, but the ratings have always been anemic and FX may be running out of patience. – Cameron Cubbison

community

Community

Dollhouse: Its cancellation has already been announced but I wish that it wasn’t so. This show has a unique storyline and it’s too bad that we never got to see it fully. – Nicole Cukingnan

Big Love – Trisha Huntsman

Community: It’s not so bad, but it’s not as great as some of the other comedies out there. – Stephanie Jaar

V: ABC’s decision to only show four episodes of V and push the show back until Spring doesn’t display a lot of faith. But even if it has lost a ton of viewers since its debut, V’s story picked up after its premiere, and has given us some truly captivating alien-invasion intrigue. – Inisia Lewis

The Good Wife: I’m really rooting for this show, but good drama doesn’t equal good ratings (i.e. Commander in Chief). – Keshaunta Moton

Dollhouse: So they may have technically been canceled undeservedly already, and if you’re not a fan by now, you have less than zero chance of piecing together who’s fighting for what with which personality in which body, I just wanted to lament the loss and praise the fact that they’ve actually been given the chance to air all episodes and complete the story. – Paul Secrest

Castle is one of my favorite shows and I will be thoroughly disappointed if it is canceled. All I can do is hope the ratings are high enough so it is picked up for a third season. – Allison Toner

Show whose cancellation I’m rooting for

FlashForward: blah, sigh, woof. – Liz Cooper

Chuck: Because the concept got old 23 episodes back and I’m sick of writing about it. – Cameron Cubbison

The Apprentice: It was fun while it lasted, but now it’s lost its luster. Totally lost interest in the Donald. – Nicole Cukingnan

American Idol – Trisha Huntsman

Heroes: It has overstayed its welcome. – Stephanie Jaar

apprentice

The Apprentice

24: Don’t get me wrong because I actually love the show, but how many storylines of saving the American people or a U.S. president or bringing down a government representative can the writers recycle? I say let Jack Bauer go out with a bang and on top. – Inisia Lewis

The Real Housewives of…anything: “Tardy for the Party,” really? It’s bad enough these girls get airspace, but do we now have to pretend that they have some sort of meaning in this world? – Keshaunta Moton

Heroes: I finally abandoned the sinking ship a couple episodes into season 4, but it’s still kinda sad to watch from the sidelines as a show with so much potential just stays so stupid. – Paul Secrest

Eastwick (although I think it was already canceled): As a fan of Charmed, I don’t think any other magic/witches show could compare. – Allison Toner

Dollhouse will really be missed in my house as well.

  2. Sid says:

No!!!!! I don’t want Melrose to get the ax. It’s much more entertaing than other trashy shows on tv. I’m so sick of crime, law, and medical dramas driving the good dramas into a deadend.
