If sinking over 100+ hours wasn’t enough for Skyrim fans, than Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls Online announcement in Game Informer just might be. That’s right, The Elder Scrolls is entering the massively multiplayer online world.
Developed by the team at Zenimax Online Studios, the MMO will take place in a new era set a millennium before Skyrim, where the daedric prince Molag Bal plans to succumb the world of Tamriel under his rule. Matt Firor, lead developer with Zenimax Online Studios, and the team are committed to making “the best MMO ever made — and one that is worthy of The Elder Scrolls franchise.” Not much is currently known in terms of gameplay, but players will be able to choose from three factions when the game launches next year. By the looks of the Game Informer cover image the three factions may be represented by a lion, a dragon, and what looks to be some sort of bird.
In-depth details involving solo quests and public dungeons will be available in the June issue of Game Informer.
