Desiree Neall

Originally born and raised in southern New Jersey, I have now become one of the many transplants of beautiful San Diego, California. Coming from the northeast so close to major cities, pop culture was abundant. In fact, one of my earliest memories was of my mother taking me to an independent film festival in Philadelphia when I was about 12 years old.

I’m a HUGE fan of comedy, whether it be a sitcom, stand-up or just a goofy movie. I’ll watch just about anything with Judd Apatow’s or Kevin Smith’s names attached to it. I especially love the more odd and off-beat comedies, especially animations, on television (anyone who has watched the late night programming on Adult Swim knows what I’m talking about!). But then there is the complete other side of the spectrum- the horror genre. I love it all and I’m probably one of the biggest horror fans you’ll ever know! As a recently growing hobby, I like to collect movie props and other related paraphernalia, especially from the Saw movie franchise.

I love going to movie conventions in my spare time and let’s just say I LIVE for San Diego’s Comic-Con every year. I’m not the least bit ashamed of my inner geek (which also happens to be exactly like my outer geek). When I’m not working, you can find me scanning through the good ole DVR list catching up on what I’ve missed throughout the week or playing with my two kitties, Fry and Bender. And yes, that was a Futurama reference.
