I’m not afraid to admit that I craft my week around primetime television. I’m not kidding. There’s a color coded TV schedule on my home fridge that tells my roommate and me what shows to watch live, DVR or ON-Demand. I also go into withdrawal if I go more than 10 days without going to the movies. My need for new movies is almost a religious calling and the theater is my church. I prefer my movies theatrically, with a crowd. There’s something about that experience I just don’t think can be duplicated no matter how state-of-the-art your home theater is. That, however, hasn’t stopped me from amassing quite a large DVD/Blu Ray collection.

In addition to spending most of my life in front of a screen, I read kind of a lot. In fact, the past two years I’ve read over 100 books. They know my face at both the local bookstore and the library. I’m that guy. I find myself easily obsessed with pop culture lore and history, particularly fixated with television shows of the brilliant-but-cancelled variety. I get really excited during pilot season, and slightly crushed when I know something I’ve been following won’t make it to air.
