Keshaunta Moton

Keshaunta is a creative writing graduate living in DC.  When she is not visiting other people’s worlds, she’s creating her own. Movies are very versatile things. They can be cultural stamps, virtues idealized, statements of how life ought to be, they can be funny… they can be all of the above. And not one genre is greater than the next, as long as they move you, or elicit some response. Whether it is a documentary about global warming or a film designed to laugh your socks off, they each have value.

Don’t get her wrong, there are bad films, but for every film there’s a person who loves it, the great comedy of life. Some say that movies are an escape from reality, but that’s not true. Movies are an alternate reality, but they are real nonetheless, because for that moment while you are watching these characters become as real as your very best friends; the good ones touch you, the great ones change you.
