Lauren was once accused of being a “television evangelist” by her mother, which did not dissuade her from continuing to spread the good word about her favorite media offerings to anyone who would listen. An avid reader and consumer of all forms of art, Lauren is passionate about well-told stories, earnest self-expression, and culture of all kinds.

Lauren loves to write persuasively on a range of topics, but she’s most especially fond of talking about her favorite films and TV shows and why you should love them, too. She believes that there’s no greater window into the soul of a society than its pop cultural artifacts, so they’re certainly worth examining. You’ll find everything from The Godfather to Boogie Nights to Daddy Day Care among Lauren’s favorite movies, and she can’t get enough of Community or Top Chef.
